Hi guys!
I'd like to thank each and every one of you who contributed to yesterdays
track building party! Your generosity of your time, money, materials,
skills, and kindness is really touching. I truly can not imagine a better
bunch of people. The cameraderie that was demonstrated by everyone
yesterday, pulling together to build Bruce a track, was a joy to behold. I
know that Bruce and Maureen were both touched by your efforts.
For those folks who couldn't make it, or who had to leave early, at roughly
11:20 Saturday evening Bruce drove the first laps on his new track. I'll be
headed back one day this week to complete the wiring and race management
system integration, but we did what we set out to accomplish, build a track
in one day! Amazing.
I'm sure the final report from our fthfl srvnt and scribe Rick will be many
pages long and great fun to read, but honestly, if you weren't there you
missed the best time I've had with slotcars for many, many years.
